Silent GiantAs a little girl, my parents and I would fly out to Wisconsin and visit my grandparents. Their white and stoney house lay across the road from a small beach attatched to Lake Michigan. My mother would take me to the secluded beach and we'd walk along the shore, hand in hand, looking for the pretty stones and splashing our feet across the shallow water. A pocketful of rocks later, we'd return to the house, and I'd leap onto the guest bed and pour the contents of my new found treasures on the white and blue bed spread. I'd seperate them by color, then by shape, and then group them according to how much I liked them. My mother would sit beside mSilent Giant
